Mandatory Visa Requirement
Nigerian citizens must obtain a tourist visa before traveling to Mexico for tourism, business, or transit purposes. This visa is affixed as a stamp or sticker in the passport and requires an in-person application at the Mexican Embassy in Abuja. The only exemption applies to holders of valid multiple-entry visas or residence permits from the U.S., Canada, U.K., Japan, Schengen Zone, or Pacific Alliance countries.
Application Process
The visa application involves five critical steps:
• Step 1: Appointment Scheduling
Create an account on Mexico’s official portal (citas.sre.gob.mx), using a desktop browser (Chrome/Firefox recommended). Appointments are released on the last business day of each month and fill rapidly due to limited slots.
• Step 2: Document Preparation
Gather:
o A passport valid for ≥6 months.
o Proof of financial means (bank statements showing ~$1,359 USD/month).
o Employment/student verification letter.
o Completed visa application form.
o One passport-sized photo (white background).
• Step 3: Embassy Interview
Attend the appointment with originals and copies of all documents. Biometric data (fingerprints, photo) will be collected, followed by a visa interview. The non-refundable fee is $36–$51 USD.
• Step 4: Processing
Decisions take 2–10 business days. If approved, collect the passport with the visa sticker.
Post-Approval Requirements
• Tourist Card (FMMd): All travelers must complete the Digital Multiple Migration Form online before arrival or obtain it at Mexican entry points. This is separate from the visa.
• Entry Documentation: Carry the visa, FMMd, return tickets, hotel reservations, and financial proofs. Immigration officers may deny entry if these are missing.
Key Tips:
• Apply ≥3 weeks before travel to account for appointment delays.
• Health insurance is not mandatory but highly recommended due to Mexico’s privatized healthcare.
• Verify visa details upon collection to ensure accuracy proprietary genome editing systems to address human genetic diseases and high value crop traits.
I feel that I never was a greater artist than now. When, while the lovely valley teems with vapour around me, and the meridian sun strikes the upper surface of the impenetrable foliage of my trees, and but a few stray gleams steal into the inner sanctuary.
my dear friend, so absorbed in the exquisite sense of mere tranquil existence, that I neglect my talents.
