(b) Permanent Residence Permits
• Must be issued by:
o Canada, Chile, Colombia, Japan, Peru, Schengen Area countries, United Kingdom, or United States (Pacific Alliance members).
o Pacific Alliance nations (Colombia, Chile, Peru).
• Temporary residence permits (e.g., work/study visas) do not qualify.

• Document validity: Both passport and visa/residence permit must be valid throughout the stay in Mexico.
• Entry documentation:
o Present the original visa/residence permit alongside your passport at Mexican immigration.
o Complete the Digital Multiple Migration Form (FMMD) online before arrival or on arrival.
• Proof of purpose: Immigration officers may request:
o Return flight tickets, hotel reservations, or invitation letters.
o Evidence of financial solvency (~$1,359 USD/month).

• Entry is not guaranteed: Even with valid documents, Mexican authorities may deny entry if:
o The traveler has a prior criminal record.
o Previous U.S. visa denials exist (officials may scrutinize such cases).
